Yeh Mampeh Waterfall Bali

Monday, August 25, 2008

This waterfall is located in Singaraja - Air Sanih - Tejakula area, while not huge, is scenic and not yet suffering from tourism overkill. The waterfall itself is fed by Lake Batur and can flow quite heavily in rainy season. The water drops from a cleft in the rock 40 meters above to fall into a pool with a great deal of spray.

A spot well known for its waters are the pools of Yeh Sanih. The attractions here are freshwater springs channelled into clean and tempting swimming pools, amid charming garden surroundings. Open from 8am-6pm daily.

The walk to the falls is very pleasant, wandering for about a kilometer through jungle and agricultural plots. The walk is easy, the path paved. Along the way you will see rambutan, bananas, coconuts, and other crops growing.
